7 WORLD TRADE CENTER OPENS

It was the last building to fall on 9/11 – and on May 23, 7 World Trade Center was the first to rise again,
a 52-story "green" tower ready for new tenants.

Zwicker Electric was the electrical contractor for the structure, the base of which is a parallelogram occupying the city block bounded by Barclay on the north, Vesey Street on the south, Washington Street on the west and the newly restored Greenwich Street on the east.

Designed by David Childs, the new office tower is the first of four commercial high rises that will be built.
A Con Edison substation occupies the first 10 floors, supplying electricity to Lower Manhattan.

Zwicker CEO David Pinter noted that "We are proud to have played a significant role in this building, the newest addition to the skyline of lower Manhattan."

New York City, NY - David Pinter, President of Zwicker Electric Co., hosted the 2nd Annual Jazz Benefit for the City Parks Foundation's seniors programs last night, at the Blue Smoke restaurant. Pinter, a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, was instrumental in creating the Foundation's seniors tennis program in 2007. This year, through the lending support of Pinter, the Foundation is expanding its programs for seniors to include yoga, biking and fitness walking. The new Seniors Fitness Program will offer healthy and fun activities in New York City parks for thousands of seniors.

According to Pinter, the City Parks Foundation is the only independent, nonprofit organization to offer programming in parks throughout the boroughs of the City. The Foundation works to improve neighborhood parks, partnering with the New York Department of Parks & Recreation and the New York City Council.
