We're Committed to Sustainable Construction
Select LEED Projects
Zwicker Electric is committed to sustainable construction. Under the leadership of Sam Pace, Zwicker's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Zwicker Electric has completed several projects that have been LEED certified:
|
7 World Trade Center
LEED certification will name 7 World Trade Center the first 'Green' Office Tower at the new WTC site. Along with other sustainable design features, the building is designed to allow in plenty of natural light, power is metered to tenants to encourage them to conserve energy, the heating steam is reused to generate some power for the building, and recycled materials are used for insulation and interior materials.

Bank of America Building at One Bryant Park
Bank of America Tower is the first skyscraper designed to attain a Silver LEED Certification. The design of the building will make it environmentally friendly, using technologies such as floor-to-ceiling insulating glass to contain heat and maximize natural light, and an automatic daylight dimming system.
Control of the temperature of Bank of America's tower and the production of some of its energy will be done in an environmentally-friendly manner. Insulating glass will reduce thermal loss somewhat, which will lower energy consumption and increase transparency.

Riverhouse at One Rockefeller Park
Using renewable materials, innovative architecture and cutting-edge technology, the design team for Riverhouse at One Rockefeller Park is striving to reach and hopefully exceed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council
|
Octagon Park Apartments
A 50kW photovoltaic system located on the roof north and south towers was installed. The system, sized to light the Octagon's hallways, operates in parallel with the local utility provider and is the largest array of solar panels on a residential building in New York City.
